Those Three Words

those three words
said too much
but not out of reach
is all your fantasies
those three words
said too much
she may never preach
it's not in her vocabulary

those three words
in my thoughts
they stay a while in the morning when I wake up
they tuck my blanket over me so tight
those three words
in my thoughts
they stay when i run my hands down you back in pain, for
they plucked your two wings and stuck in an arrow

those three words
said too much
with some they leach
it's a beg for forgiveness
those three words
said too much
she could very well teach
these naysayers a lesson

those three words
are always invited
they sway quickly on the nights when I am down
they take those bad lemons out of sight
those three words
are always invited
they sway emotionally when your at my window, now
they kept quiet when two snuggled up locked in hugs

those three words
I love you
they are what they are
and they don't need to be heard

    True!

Although those three words certainly do NOT NEED to be said, we as sentient human being DO NEED to hear them on occassion! If they are said all of the time though, the meaning is certainly lost! SHOW me you love me rather than say it all of the time! I love the thought behind this poem, however, I think it rambles just a bit too much. I found myself getting aggravated with the repetition of "those three words". Not meaning to be critical, only honest as I am with all writing, even my own! Thank you for the read and the opportunity to comment. Keep writing!
