Arid desert.

Even though I thought your passion was over
And was afraid you would go.

Actually, for a song, this is brilliant, and the story in it wonderful, you cannot get a better coupling than this, maybe, you would consider lengthening it, I feel you have much more to add I feel, this needs a hopeful confide to not only extend, but finish with a lovely unifying feel.
