I wake in the morning, back aching still,
shoulder pops leaning over to get out.
Both feet on the floor, I need a pain pill,
standing unsteadily, I have to shout.
Nothings quite as easy as I recall,
hurts to just take a shower anymore.
Drop the soap? Damn, will be a certain fall,
lord knows, never make it up from the floor.
Old is tightening it's firm grip on me,
certain low sounds escape my hearing now.
Eyes not near as sharp as they used to be,
but I muddle through the long day somehow.
Whats that you say? Lawn bowling match at four?
If I can get this damn walker out the door.

Yes, it was
To make people laugh and smile is a gift. What humor is found in this seems to come from personal experience. A wonderful place to draw from.
