My trusty notebook and my favorite pen
Nice quiet area to write down my feeling of being insane
There are times I questions people sanity
Maybe we all our insane just do not know it
My writing is my best friend in the world
With out my writing I tell you what I did
Instead of writing about my grief of losing my husband
I would not come out of my house
When I went to my husband grave
I did not see others down
I yelled and stomped at his grave like an insane person
I was upset for him leaving me
When I heard the car drive away
I felt so foolish
Then I knew I needed to write
It does so much for me
Some days it my counselor
Write thoughts I could not tell some one
Writing is my very best friend

excellent~
Sad but penned beautiful...
Putting thought's on paper does help when words can't or we can't seem to find someone to talk to about our problems were having
A trusty notebook and pen always come in handy
You never know where your muse will strike
Congrats on the honorable mention
Hugs
Your sis

This is such a sad piece, it is hard to get past losing someone. I can't see on this page where this won a silver trophy and this is a contest for only silver winning poems. Best to you

Thank you for your beautifully expressed entry, I know too well the drive to write, as it's part of my every day, so I can relate well, good luck in my contest, Josie

This is very good aside from it being true. I also think that it is good for you to get it out there when you can't tell another person.. Good job
-
I know just what you mean! I am the same way, I have many notebooks full, and many pages filled with words expressing my feelings at being left behind also! It is harder than many think.
Thanks for sharing this with us!
Best of luck in this contest!
and love

So True Sweet Sis!
I'm pretty sure so many have the need that are here on AP!
We're so addicted to expressing ourselves with poetry!
It sure is therapy, and in many ways brings healing to the soul.
Thanks for sharing you, much light and love.
Brother Timothy
