Tall Tales

"I write them for myself", I say,
it is a well crafted lie,
I write them for you.
Comment, compliment,
Absurdity;
I crave the attention,
insult me if you wish,
it will be the same.
Like a 4 year old
throwing a tantrum,
I have accomplished my goal
if I snag your attention,
positive or negative,
I get the same charge.

Charge? Oh, no, I don't charge,
well-woven or loosely spun,
they're free,
You just have to read.

Lovely weave and web of words, so truthfully spoken:
    "Like a 4 year old
    throwing a tantrum,
    I have accomplished my goal
    if I snag your attention,
    positive or negative,
    I get the same charge."

Either way, people read and they comment(optionally) better that they do, hehehe Well done!

    "positive or negative,
    I get the same charge."

    Nice double entendre!

No charge? I think everyone who writes gets a charge out of their work being read.
