I don't want the pain,
so take it away.

I don't want the hurt,
not after what you did to betray.

I'm sorry it seems we're through,
but the truth is I still care for you.

Nothing stays the same,
and yet I still can't think of what we could have became.

I'd want to start again, be another friend,
but I'm sorry, it's a relationship I can't bear to mend.

The betrayal felt too strong,
and I know I was also wrong.

I'm still sorry.

Not a great poem.
...but it's about a friend.
This is actually pathetic compared to my normal writing style.
...but it's something that had to be written, I felt.
