Life was as simple
as black and white,
really a cliche'
if I might...
Men wore the pants,
and woman stayed home,
cooked, washed and cleaned,
no time alone.
Proserity meant a ride
in the car!!
Back then, you didn't
drive far.
Children were seen,
but seldom heard,
at an early age,
they had learned.
Pictures were something
everyone took,
you had to stand still,
it blurred, if you shook.
Families were closer
than most times today,
a bonding technology's
taking away.

Quick spirt of thoughts that ran through......
This is a photograph of my mother and two uncles, taken some eighty years ago. Think about it.

The short, precise line and recurrent sound patterns work nicely with the prompt, suggesting a time of greater simplicity. You've done a solid job in creating the tone and feeling the picture elicits. Thanks for taking the time to enter the conest.

True! All the bells and whistles can be bought. Yet they are but a flash in the pan of little real value.
