Go ahead baby, blame it on me.
Are you happy now?
Lacrymosa dies illa.
Much more beautiful than
That tearful day.
Whispered promises of love and death
A web to catch a moth bored with dimming light.
Crushed by tender thread, the moth wants new life.
I tried to tell it the light was out everywhere else.
I let it go, dropping a tear.
It blames me for turning off the light.
Go ahead baby, blame it on me.
But I did what you wanted.
Author notes
Lacrymosa. It means weeping, or tearful. Also there is a moth called catocala lacrymosa. It means tearful underwing. Also in case you didn't get it Lacrymosa dies illa means "that tearful day"

It's saddness is moving... This write has beautiful and powerful imagery, present in every word. I like how you intertwined the latin in your poem and how the moth has a great signifigance, too. Beautiful and heartfelt job. Thanks for entering
