off with her head,
the evil queen said.
alice tried to run away
from the guards at bay
she ran to the door
who wouldn't open anymore
the queen, hearts and spades
were catching up fast with their blades
poor alice didn't know what to do
this was the only way out and she couldn't get through
alice fell to her knees
and said only one word, please
that was the last word she said
after that breath poor alice was dead
the queen of hearts wanted her head
so there alice lie all covered in red

Unfortunately, "please" doesn't always work. Poor Alice. I'm so glad she didn't "really" die -- in the original, I mean.

Oh wow. This is really good. I love the twist you added. "poor alice didn't know what to do
this was the only way out and she couldn't get through" Those have to be my favorite lines. Thanks for entering. Good luck.
