Emotional Reactions

You are a chemical catalyst
Causing a deep reaction
This ion tries to fight
But quickly loses to attraction

Charges pull

Bonds break

Change sides

And remake

This compound I am now part of

Is more unstable than the last

It seems that when it comes to love

The rules of chemistry don't hold fast

Author notes

Just bored and felt like writing something random.

Please tell me what you think

I love this poem. I'm supposed to find a poem about chemistry for a Poetry Month project in chemistry this week (it sure beats equations). I thought I would find all brainy and stupid poems. Now I'm excited to make this poster! You're very talented.

Unfortunately they do not (the rules). But maybe they do, and since you're in the throws of the chemical equation, you just don't realize it. Sweet poem; I love chemistry analogies.
