A Child Turning Woman

Missing image

One finger carrying the hand of life,
Devoted to your innocence
Devoted to your childhood life

Let me show you what the future holds for you
As you open your eyes to the world
Traveling the Universe  like a school
~~~
One finger carrying the hand of life,
Devoted to your tenderness
Devoted to your adolescent life
Let me hold you while the world passes you by
For you’re older know and confused with the time
As I wipe away your tears for all that made you cry
~~~
One finger carrying the hand of life,
Devoted to your intelligence
Devoted to your adult life

I no longer have to hold your finger of life
For you now are a Woman of the world
And you have turned out quit nice
~~~
But remember if you need me
My hand is still here
To hold you precious finger
forever my dear
Please tell me what you think
    Beautifully written
    You have penned a wonderful poem here full of parental love and understanding. A lucky child has grown up with you. Bless your heart, Boog
    Bravo!
    Great one, Mom. A wonderful poem about the evolution of young people from infancy to adulthood. A lot of innocence & love to this one. Fine work.
