a lawyer, a doctor, many friends on AP
as friends go, they’re all keepers
there’s many more of course, some fair-weather
some funny ones, some weepers
I love and appreciate them all, you see
they make my life so worthwhile
if I should lose them, I’d be oh so sad
for them I’d walk that extra mile
even though they each are so special to me
and for them I’ll go out on a limb
there’s a few who I couldn’t live without
or my world would be gloomy and grim
my mate, my sis, children, all part of me
who bring me joy and happiness
and one other special sister, spirit friend
each brings me more joy than I can express
friendship is one of God’s greatest gifts
I treasure each so dear
I pray these friendships forever last
will linger through each hour, each day, each year

Dear Dee, The friendships we form on Allpoetry are sometimes wonderful and can last a lifetime, just as with our friends away from here. I know I'd also be lost without the love and friendship of my hubby Heath, our children and family and most of all my friends. They're all very special.

You're one of my special friends, Wesley You're a keeper I hope we always keep in touch through our hearts and poetry.
Summer is going well for me. We're on vacation right now, close to your neck of the woods... The Olympia, Tacome, Seattle area making the rounds to family mostly. They're holding a big BBQ birthday for me Sunday and I think just about all of them will be here... at my youngest daughter's home in Black Diamond. The weather is gorgeous, so much nicer than the heat of Phoenix.

I know many people that I consider friends, on and offline, but my sisters are my greatest and closet friends of them all. Just like it feels for you, without them my life wouldn't be whole (even though we live so far away apart).

Love the background, too! I'd rather have friends than anything else I can think of. I like that you like cats, too! They're often misunderstood but you and I know when it comes to pets, they're the cat's meow! Your sense of humor and just plain 'good sense' make you a great person to know. We may not know each other very well but I like what I know. How could anyone not like you???

people are our life...

Five years ago I joined AP and you, my dear, were first
to say hello and tell me that my poems were not the worst.
You introduced me to some other poets on this site
and still I read and learn a lot from everything they write.
You always take the time to help and offer good advice
and encourage where it's needed, just because you are so nice.
Now you're a moderator your promotion may not end
but however high you rise I hope I still may call you FRIEND.

I don't make friends easy. I'm not a real social person...very reclusive actually, I just kind of like to bounce in, say hello and then get out of everyone's way...sometimes I get in the way, but I'm pretty easy to roll over...no, I don't know what I am talking about either...
People like you...more important, I like you...and I don't like a lot of people, lol...I hate none but most are just sort of there. Anyway, you are fair minded, unassuming, funny, kind, logical and all that good stuff people like. Now send me a Moxie for being nice.
