Nurses needle-sticks, and
just sticking around
is your purpose.
Then you will realize that 25
was kinder-garden,
as you hobble through
your senior years.
It is merely a checkpoint in time,
one box on a vast calendar,
a colander for your salad days.
Toss it without a care,
and devour each day ahead.
It's only part of the main course,
settle in and enjoy
the banquet of your life to come.
