“Anatomy of the contemptuous”

“Anatomy of the contemptuous”

He scribbled down

‘Romance is nothing special my friends
Because lovers hearts move in trends
                                            And love too eventually ends’

On all the coffee shop tables
And he espoused his pessimism and nihilistic feelings to all that would listen

Saying
‘sorry, I feel that way about most girls, to tell the truth. Im very cynical’

when questioned on some bullshit remark he made earlier in the week
in a  not so subtle
                  attempt
to coax out true feelings
that managed to do the exact opposite
like all else he tries to
                                      accomplish

He was ranting and raving
Again on the subject of love and how women really cant be trusted to do anything but
Fuck you over
                  If your lucky

When she walked over and said
‘If you feel these things, why are you so desperate to give away your heart at every turn?’

He looked her in the eyes and realized
                    The only thing he hated
Was himself

Good job I like this. You get a good sense of the characters, but maybe you might include more context. Like, why was he raving? Was he hurt in the past? What does this guy look like? Just random questions if you want. It was really powerful though =]
