I am who I am because I stood tall
when everything around me seemed to crumble and fall.
I just took a deep breath and buckled right in
and began playing life's game; determined to win.
Life made the first move and knocked a peice of me out
but I came back with a vengeance; I had no doubt.
Moving forward I took life by the heel.
I hit life so hard that life began to reel.
If I had any fear, I confidently hid it.
I set out to conquer life and guess what? I did it!
See in this game called life you must play by the rule.
Just be strategic because life ain't no fool.
Me? I just looked life straight in the eye.
I mustered up a big old grin. It was no time to cry.
I played life's game hard and emerged triumphantly.
That's why I am who I am. And who I am I won the right to be.
