there's something about that moment when
you looked into my eyes, as you drew me closer
and slowly lowered your lips to mine
knowing that you could see every emotion,
the aching need to taste you and
feel your warmth flow into me
the anticipation and delicious thoughts of
what was to come, that made me tremble
as I leaned into your arms
the desire that flared between us, like a bolt
of lightning, that lit the dark velvet of
a midnight sky still burns as brightly
your kisses are the opening notes to
a beautiful symphony, that will forever hold us
in its precious enthrall

I have always loved the art of Josephine Wall and Prelude To A Kiss is one of her works I've always wanted to have gracing my words with it's beautiful images.

Prelude to a Kiss
That 'magic' moment! - the frozen frame in time, savouring the powerful emotion of
that first kiss. As their lips move ever closer they can feel the electricity in
the air as they approach the blending of their two minds and spirits. Their thoughts
and pulses race as the heavenly conductor leads them to a crescendo in the concerto
of love. The enchantment of that moment will last forever.
