empty eyes

Empty eyes wander round the field at night,
calmly observing,
through black holes in the sky
looking for something to get them to the next day,
a thrill not a fight,
but with each thrill they find ,
they give a little more of their soul away.
looking for awakening forever has delivered them to darkness

    i think this has great potential. from what i can tell this person is looking for a little meaning in life through temporary highs, but he's only digging a bigger hole for himself in the future (correct me if i'm wrong).

    i like it. keep it up!
