Wedding Bliss

Elegant swans, feathers of cream
swim in a blue pond.
Musicians play softly in the background
while fireflies frolic in evening light.

Bride walks down a red carpet aisle
looking for the world like lover's dream
all in white she comes to him.
A princess, his queen.

Family and friends gathered round,
what a beautiful scene.
Roses of every hue fill the air with fragrance
while butterflies dance around them.

Groom waits standing tall, handsome
in a tux of black he looks so regal.
His heart soaring like an eagle.
Her prince, soon a king.

Rings of gold sparkle in sunlight,
two hearts beat as one.
Joined forever never to be alone.

Author notes

This poem has two purposes. I wrote it for my role play group Magical Dawn: http://allpoetry.com/group/show/Magical%20Dawn for my character and another member's character who are getting married in the group and as a wedding present for my brother and his bride to be.

So please by all means tell me what you think of it. Is there any suggestion you have that could make it better.

Critiques VERY welcome, PLEASE tell me what you think

This is an amazingly portrayed scenario the beauty of the panorama painted with the aid of subtle and yet flourescent shades of tranquil, sublime and almost ethereal and magical words that breathe out intensity, depth and sincerity is nothing less thanany person might desire for their wedding. The simple words picturise a very vivid and vibrant lively image that is almost alive and pulsating with vitality. The entire scene reminds me of the atmosphere on my wedding day inspite of it being a hindu wedding with me in a magenta wedding dress and all the rituals different yet the air of bliss and redolence of blessings and dreams was the same almost magical. Thanks for this lovely write and for reminding me of my special day. Thanks for sharing take care and keep sharing forever...

Lovely! only, you have evening light in the first stanza and the rings shine in the sunlight in the last. Perhaps in the light of a full moon?
