Drown Another Day

The water is to my neck
Covering scars and the necklace you bought
But it's not hanging from my neck
That's a noose I guess I'll never fit into

The cold is already ceased my movement
My limbs just another formality dragging me down
But I'm not dieing tonight
I'm not a corpse for you to float on

My face is submerged
It's only in due time now
But as long as I have breath
I'll carry you with haste without hate

My heartbeat is fading
A race between frost and fathom
But there's a light on edge
My purpose here is done, I guess

Soon I'll be weighing you down
And the float won't pick up a pair
But you'll sail on to greater heights...
You can drown another day
