a young woman sleeps restlessly on one side of her lonely bed
while her huge family dog takes up her soldiers side of the bed
while he is so far away from her giving her the illusion
the man she loves is laying besides her for just a little while
this young woman is one soldiers heavenly sent angel
as she tosses and turns on her bed in her sleep
her soldier across a sea in a war enraged country
is constantly dodging bullets and a few taking out his buddies
he does what he can for the wounded before he has to move on
hoping to make it to just one more mail call
survive just one day longer to get that letter or package
that is filled with love and longing from his angel
the one that he keeps going for
the one that he promised to survive for
the one he would give his life for
the one that waits for him no matter how long hes gone
the one that wouldnt go for anyone else while hes not there
the one that is too good to be true, his angel
the young womans restlessness causes her to wake up
before she so much as opens her eyes
she says a silent pray "don't give up

i used this part of the song as the ending just as a quick way to wrap it up twecked to just a bit..
im a soldiers angel...my bf is currently deployed to iraq..patiently waiting for his return..got 13 more months to go...but were getting there! sept 2009 here we come! i am not just a soldiers angel i am a a soldier as well!

The ending, where you said you used part of a song - what song is it? Who sings it? I think I'd like to hear it;
I really enjoyed this; you brought it all to life, with the little details [that are yet important] such as the big dog sleeping on his side of the bed, etc - made it personal!
