We ask that you be respectful also
To the next of kin, or in this case
The next of fin.
The funeral is arranged to be a
Burial at sea;
The service will be conducted

In lieu of flowers, the family
Requests that you send bait.
Thank you for your support on this trying
And difficult occasion."

I actually had a betta named Sam - we gave him a burial 'at sea.'
I got the funeral idea from an old TV series 'Benson.'

Haha! I had a betta, too, that I shared with my ex-roommate, and I always gagged when she made me change its water. I've no idea if Leo is still alive, but I was definitely glad enough when she wanted to keep him when she moved out.
Anyway. Cute poem & good luck in the contest. It'll definitely beat my entry, for sure.
