I was a blind man
I was a beggar
I was a fool
I didnt heed his warnings
I didnt read all I should
I didnt follow the ten rules
But even through all this
He loved me
He loved me for who I am, who I was, and who I will be.
And he always will forever more
Even though I was lost at sea
He calmed the waves
Told me not to fret
While all my life betting the sinners bet
I was blind in the dark
My light hidden under a bushel
A blinding ray
As bright as the day
His love finds me in the dark
Abba Father, forgive me I have forsaken you
Bring him, my son, the finest robe and put it on him
And put a ring on his finger
Bring the fatted calf and slaughter it, that we may have a feast
For my son has returned
His love enlightenes me in the darkness of my mind
Like a shepard he leaves the flock to find the one
And carries it like a babe
So that I might be reborn
His love finds me when I am lost
Could see nothing
No future
No path to walk
Until that one day
That his love found me in the dark.
Honesty is the best policy... well not always but right now.

Great. Exactly how most Christians feel about God. No matter what, He loves us simply for being us and nothing more. I think that's a powerful message.

Wow, this is amazing. Very well chosen words. i like how you began just straight to the point, and how you ended this poem. This is really great.
Thanks for your comment on my poem, by the way.
Keep on writing - I'm keeping on!

Well I was doubting for a long time too, but with extrordinary doubts comes extrordinary proof. And talent is relative, like so many things

God... *shivers* I'm not a religious person at all, I'm doubting there is a 'god'. But wow, full of emotions... reminded me of a song... um, what is it? I don't remember... it was a reliqious hym or something (I went to church once! I was Catholic!) I mean, I want to be religious, I really do, but I don't know. It's hard to know if he is real, but to this day, I still believe that there might be a God, but I don't fully believe. I loved this poem completely though. You are talented, way more than me. Keep up the great work my friend.
