Wedding Song

She said the vows
"I'll always be..
She swore to hold
Him sacredly
~***~
He took the ring
And kissed her well
Now only time
Will truly tell
~***~
The marriage sealed
The promise won
And now their life
Has just begun
~***~
Their love is locked
Upon the heart
The vow is kept
To never part
~***~
The bliss shall last
A moment more
May hands be held
May blessings pour
~***~
The bouquet tossed
A song was sung
A love so sweet
And yet so young
~***~
Upon the day
The vows were heard
The joy was spread
By garden bird
~***~

Beautiful write and congrats on the gold trophy on this piece, it is well deserved. Wish someone would want to read something I wrote at their wedding. Nice job. Great rhythm, rhyming and poem.

    congratulations!!!!!

so very deserving of its place in my contest, a difficult choice between this and second place, you took the gold due to the rhyme, i love rhyming poems!!
i feel that if i can make it happen both this piece and my 2nd place piece will be used however, i would like your permission to change one line should it be read out in church and this is purely because it says something that will be irrelevant to our wedding day and that is 'the bouquet is tossed' i would prefer it if you would suggest the change but if not permission to do so myself would be appreciated!!

A fantastic job, i'm over the moon with the response and can't wait to show my bridesmaid what she has got to recite!!

Thankyou so much for entering and well done on your victory!!

    Much Love,
    JJ x
