Waves crash against the shore line,
Darkness blankets the sky.
No light in the distance,
For the stars have done their time.
An image of shadow dances before me,
Playfully mocking my exsitance.
I reach out to touch it's frailty,
But alas it evanesces.
Spiraling now, racing to find life,
But I'm alone in this bitter night.
My hearts quickens, as immortal fear turns to sin,
Upon the sands I collaps, drifting to a place within.
I dream of sunlight, and of laughter,
Oh how peacful it is.
Until eyes must gaze upon truth,
The truth that is this ever after.
Blackness engulfs me,
Fear rushes through my veins.
A black dove flys above me, and disapears again,
Like smoke, into shadows from which it came.

Very dark and sad. I like the symbolism of a black dove and its disapearing like smoke. Thanks for sharing and good luck in the contest.
