Today is a special day, for long ago you were
just a dream... Thank you for being what you
are to me... I will lay down my life for you
my friend, my love. Because of you I can laugh,
I can smile, I dare to dream.
I want to be your friend forever and ever,
I want to be your dreams; for yesterday
was only a day and tomorrow is a vision,
but today we live, for it is not a dream.

this is perfect for us, sounds like you did some research, its almost like you know us, our story its great!!
i didn't realise when starting this competition what style of poetry i wanted but since judging i realised that i am looking for a piece that is neither from the words of the bride or the groom, as it will be read by somebody else i feel an individual view of an outsider, words from another would be more suitable if that makes sense!!
