King of Lies

Never has there been an era of more peace, prosperity, and love
The ruler of this land worshiped like a god
Never a faulty desicion, wise like the stars
Who is this man?  The king of lies

Walks the streets among his people
Loved, idolized, adored
Such a proud man, will of a God
Finding pleasure in the simplicities of life or so it seems

But what goes on behind those fortress walls?
Behind the moat, behind the gaurds
Locked away, high in his tower the King dreams of demons, death, damnation
Rising with a stir, and finds his way to the lamp on top of the solid gold desk
Dips his quil in the ink, and finds a parchment

As he begins to grace the ink with the blessings of his writing, it is an unusual balad
"I have the world at my fingertips, at a whim I could accomplish almost anything that the God of the Bhuddist, Christians, Muslims, Jews, and others.
In this world I only lack one thing that I desire more than power, fame, and money.
Love.

This great treasure eludes me like a snake in the garden.
Yet the simple peasent holds it in his hand like a toy, why does this happen?

It does not matter, or anymore anyway.
The world will persist even with my passing.
I knew this day was approaching fast, but even my grand armies could do nothing to hault its progress.

I would have one last address, to all of my subjects, knights, and lords.
For I have failed you all.
Goodbye."

Guess where I got the inspiration

But your right, without love there is no desire, without desire there is no desire to live, without the desire to live we all turn into emo children.
