I could lie beside her in a field of daisies
and never catch the scent nor sight of a single one.
I could paint her a picture with my words,
wowing her with the sweetness
...as if it drizzled honey.
I could tell her she is the one that lights me up,
that my day and night are the product of her existence.
A sigh heaved from deep within my chest
would let her know that I am frustrated
....only because she's more wonderful than I ever learned how to express.
I could be hers if only she'd let me,
the one who kisses her eyes as she sleeps
the one who holds her close & doesn't let go
the one who says "I love you"...
because if I told her my every thought,
if I sung to her the praise she deserves,
....she may get bored with my rambling.
I could be the perfect cuddler...
the perfect lover...
the perfect friend...
But that isn't all.
[I could never be enough]
"I want to give you my everything."
... she'd whisper[[in the darkest night, when her breath is warm upon my neck and my hand is trembling upon her delicate breast]].
I couldn't do that.
I couldn't give her my everything.
I could not give her what is already hers.
[she. is. my. everything.]

Another beautiful write from you, wow you are good at this romantic stuff. I think we all wish for someone that special to have and hold. Dream it and truly believe it, for there in that moment it can happen. The way you express your emotions in this poem is pure magic.

Your words just blew me away.... left me pretty darn speechless. I love the style in which you chose to write this; it was beautiful. Emotions were expressed so genuinely and delicately... this piece unfurled beautifully like a flower. It was a treasure to read.. showing that there is not only one type of love-
