A symphony of memories and emotions
Sounds within her mind
Soft and calm, notes carry flawlessly;
An opera of her life
The rhythm of her heartbeat resonates in her ears
As the score changes tune
Suddenly off-key; a crescendo of lies
Now without interval, memories flood with dissonance
Wetness rolls down her cheeks, tears singing a soft ballad
She longs for his kiss to serenade her lips
For his words to be a lullaby to her soul
For their two hearts to beat once again in harmony
While memories sing of longing,
The tempo of her melody slows to a finale;
A cadence of her tears

Well, I thought this had a lovely flow. You used your word choice excellently. My only critism of this is that you might have been able to cut the lines shorter to make it appear to flow better. (Appear is the key word.)
My one request? Name in author's notes. Otherwise I won't know who you are and I'll have to DQ this, and I really don't want to do that wish such a lovely write.
Please and thank you. -
you had me at "symphony of memories"
nice write!

Forgot to comment on this before...but I like this! The topic was VERY hard to work with...yet you managed to create a semi-story using words based on music and a woman's sadness. I agree, the first half or so is pretty broken and doesn't flow...but as the poem progresses so does the rhythm and fluidity. GOOD LUCK IN THE CONTEST =)!
