Listening,
willing the rain
to keep falling.
Hearing droplets
One at a time.
I would
catch each one,
to curl up
under a blanket
hide away,
and wait for the stars
with you.
Please tell me what you think

I've read you on this subject before; I like the simplicity of the images here, and the 'one at a time' takes me to Hone Tuwhare's beautiful poem, and also to the slowing of time, during rain, and the introspection it evokes. Curled up under a blanket is such an image of peace and safety, for me.
There is hope, though, in seeing the stars, when the clouds clear away. Nice write.
