Oh little dragon,
Could you open the window?
So that I can enter,
Your world, beyond the mirror.
Oh, sweet little world of magic,
Come to me in my dreams so that I,
Can enter your world,
The world beyond the window.
I am young, and have time to play,
With the faeries, have time to dance,
With the dragon, have time to fly,
With me, have time to imagine.
This beautiful world, sweet window of innocence,
Brings to me a world where I am me,
Youth, the mind, the imagination of a child,
A world, beyond the mirror, the window,
Beyond all time, all life, all wisdom shared
by elders, who are soon to die,
Their lives in autumn, entering bleak winter.
I, like the Pan, never want to grow up,
I wish to go with you to Neverland.
Sweet little dragon, can you take me there,
Someplace where this world, I will not care?
Little faeries, I believe in you so,
How I never wish that I won't know,
Of your nonexistence in my bleak existence,
of a world, beyond the mirror, the window.
I open the window, and with dragon fly,
I will never grow up, will never die.

Very Precious
This is very sweet take on the picture. You didn't even need the picture in this poem for your imagination wrote it out beautifully in this poem. Very innocent and sweet. Thank you for entering and best of luck in the contest.
Many BLessings

Don't need the art- it couldn't add to the prose. Stay in spring!

This is very good indeed. I thought how good it was from start to finish, managed to captivate such emotion and feeling

Aww... that's so precious! The ending gave me a wee tear!!
Wouldn't we all like to go to that fantasy world!
This is magical and holds sweet innocence of childhood wished for!
Well done!!
