The light in your eyes reflects like sunshine
And I could get lost in those rays

The rain on your roof tonight is me thinking of you
It's nothing desperate and nothing in need
It's just pouring down because it's ready

The blue sky is clear today

    Heyhey. This is a short(ish) but sweet little poem, and it's great I think "The rain on the roof tonight is me thinking of you" is an inspired touch...looking forward to more! xx

    There's so much joy in the manner these words are positioned next to each other, that the fact that it doesn't have an obvious rhyme scheme just doesn't matter to me. If rain could be considered anything human-- I'd think it'd be patient, and you bring that characteristic out well.
