Seafarer in a Bottle

Missing image
Vengeance is a terrible thing,

When two strangers have become friends.

In a failed plan to sail across the sea

On a journey aboard a vessel of faith,

Fraught with dashed hope - now a journey's end,

For the ship did not set sail in the sea.

It's only one sea, but only time could have told

That two friends would not have a chance to meet;

It's impossible to do, when bottled dreams crash,

And one friend's heart is met with defeat.

It's not easy when one friend closes the door,

And hope in a bottle is lost forevermore.

Vengeance is a terrible thing,

In friendship, when that friendship ends.

Author notes

Who among us can sail away, while living a bottled dream?!!? By that, I mean a dream put on hold to
keep for a future day. Yet, a friendship was strained, and then finally broken, by my bottled dream.

I'm not giving up on you. You will get to a place where you will not allow any more blame. This is an awesome story told in the eyes of my brokenhearted friend. I send you my love, and blessings. Peace Cyn,
All this fault finding doesn't do you any good sweetheart. Whatever happened took two people, maybe three.

This touched me Cyn. I can relate to much of what you say in this wistful and beautifully penned poem. If both don't share the dream equally... what can you do?
    BRAVO!
