Youth, a new flower bud, blooming to life
Discovering it's untold beauties, as well as it's strife
Sensitive and open to what life could mean
Discovering new independence with intent unseen
Youth, bearing pangs of growth and insecurity
Striving and fighting for a sense of individuality
Searching for awareness and self-esteem
Reaching for what seems to be an impossible dream
Youth, enduring many moods that cannot be explained
For they can be of such joy or unendurable pain
Bearing under the pangs of adjustments and transitions
Discovering new realities with their never-ending translations
Youth, so admirable for coming this far
So special for discovering who you are
Always remember to yourself be steadfast and true
And how unique and wonderful you are for just being you!

Just Beautiful
Oh I just loved this poem and I'm sure Nikki will too. This is just fabulous and so true to how one feels at the precious young age of thirteen. We go through so many emotions, thoughts, moods, dreams that is for sure. The ending is so beautiful in how you encourage her to continue to discover her true self and how unique and wonderful she truly is for just being who she is. Thank you for your encouraging entry and best of luck in the contest.
Many Blessings
Much Love
Kelle Marie
