Breathe in smiles,
breathe out laughter!
Sleep is brief and days are long,
all spent running to (not from)
your heart's yearning.
And in your sleep you carry on
what began in yester's dawn.
Breathe in smiles,
breathe out laughter;
do not speak, for words come after
souls converse...
Breathe in
and run!

I am so happy I am creating again. This poem pulls out the creative child in me. I thought I had lost her, but she is back!!!

i really liked this poem The rhyme scheme and the way it flowed was beautiful. and did u mean breathe? u might want to look at that because the wrong word there was a speed bump in the rhyming and flow. thank u for entering and good luck in my contest.

What a very unique idea to beathe in smiles and breath out laughter, I wish more could do that these days, simplicity is the key in this poem but masterfully done, best to you
