~A Poem For The Movie CHICAGO!~
My name in the headlines
On the TV screen
Front page of New York Times
"He Deserves What He Got" it reads
I enjoy the press taking pictures
Reporters asking "Why?"
All I can do is smile and reply
"That jerk had to die."
Who would have thought, Me a celebrity
An ordinary southern girl
Although I know that this fame will come to an end
Just as soon as the jury says "GUILTY!"
Then I will be locked away
Left to rot in a cell
If I dont get the death penalty
While he is left in the shadows
I am in the spotlight
The cameras flash
People scream my name
They know my name!
Then some reporter asks "Would you do it again?"
And I reply
"Only for the fame."
Chicago was a great movie I only Hope this poem can be as great.

Hmmm. The movie was great, but I'm left still wondering about the narrator - you don't really show why she killed him; it wasn't just for the moment of fame.
I liked particularly the lines
'People scream my name
They know my name!' and there's a child-like happiness there that is so at odds with the circumstances that it's kid of cute. -
Thanks Arafura!

I love it! It really fits the movie well. You can be very proud of this write my friend. Oh, there's a typo in line 15. Should be "rot" not "rott".
