I felt the world spinning round & round as I opened my eyes
Realizing every hope & dream of mine were just ignorant...lies
So, please, let me get everything s.t.r.a.i.g.h.t
...you're just l e a d i n g me on & making me wait
For something we both know will never be there.
But then again who am I
To ♥[daydream]♥ about your touch
...who.have.I.become?
I guarantee you wouldn't even be able to tell me that much
But tell me who are you
Who are you to make me believe you could belong to me
...what.has.this.game.become?
& why won't you let it be?
I can't be tied down to these useless emotions anymore
I took a long stroll through a store; attempting to clear my head
But in my thoughts I ended up running into you instead
I wish I could show you every.single.word I've written for you
If I were to show you; h|o|n|e|s|t|l|y;
I wouldn't be afraid to see you walk away
I'd be more afraid if you had decided to stay
...The night carried on
My will got weaker & weaker...
I think I'm living on borrowed time again;
just don't make me wait for you
because you know I will.

Oh how I can relate to all this, the promises, the mixed feelings and the dilemmas that seem to come every moment of every day, especially men, they seem to trigger them off.

Whoa sis. Let me just start off with saying that this poem is truly amazing. [Not that big of a surprise from you :-P] I love the way you write, with lots of brackets and font changes and style changes, it really keeps me interested. :]

These few lines stand out to me the most. Mainly because I can give you an answer. :] The guy that all my poems are about, comes to AP to read them. He's my best friend and he knows everything about me. And he knows my soul because he reads my emotions in words. And the truth is, after every poem I write, I really wouldn't be surprised if he walked away and out of my life. But it truly is terrifying to hear him tell me I'm his best friend and that he's never going to leave me. Even though he's read all these poems and emotions. I know EXACTLY how you feel here, it really is scary.. And I hope whoever you're talking to realizes someday, that you are worth it and would stop making you wait. Because I know I'd kill to have my guy holding my life by a string and just tell me I'm his again.
Enough of my rambling. You did a great job sis. Amazing write and awesome read. :] <3
