Reflecting Denial

Like the man who looked into the mirror,
Saw his reflection
Clearly -
Then foolishly,
Walks away and immediately forgets the image -
Well that's you.
How could you be exposed to truth
And blatantly refuse to accept?
Are you that insecure?
Have you any faith?
Truth so fresh, so pure
Like the first ray of light
Shining into the dawn of morning.
It was right there-
Dancing in front of your face,
Available
Available for you to embrace...
Were you blind? How could you not see?
This is the truth,
This is the life- you're life!
And my heart is breaking,
Crushed into millions of pieces,
And they fall to the pits of my being
As I realize there is nothing I can do
But watch the truth expose itself to you,
As you deny it, turn around, and go on your way.
