25 and holding

I look back at twenty five,
remembering the start of life,
my newborn son in my hand...
cherishing love oh so grand.

Now, as I turn fifty four,
I open up the next door,
holding his daughter close to me,
a grandma is what I be.

Embrace each stage of your life,
indulge in being mother and wife,
look forward to each passing day...
time just seems to slip away...

Author notes

I still FEEL twenty five...
Happy, happy birthday!!! Leo right? me too!!!

Your words are so true. I am only 38 but I am grandma too. This is such a sweet tribute to Amy for her birthday. Age is just a number anyway so enjoy everyday
