This day Lord - I choose you.
Open up those gates of righteousness!
I'm coming in full force-
Breezing through those pearly white gates,
living this day in your Name,
And although I have fears that swarm me
And sting me severely
Still I'll enter in full force-
Just to spend another day with You!

This day Lord - I choose you.
Let loose your Holy Ghost within me,
I'm making room for his appearance-
Flowing through my pores and onto others,
My very conditional love is made pure
By your overwhelmingly unconditional love.
And still, I yearn to make more room-
So Holy Ghost please enter.

This day Lord - I choose life.
Help me avoid the path of wickedness,
Place protection upon me-
Sweeping me into your saving grace,
I'll walk this day with you!
And as I turn my head right and left
Intrigued by worldly desires-
Still I know you'll guide me along
that path of righteousness.

This day Lord - I choose You!
I choose Your love and Your life.
This day I surrender my ways -
Hands lifted high
Eyes opened wide
Heart transformed
Lord, this day is Yours!
