Dashed against a wall
bruised with inequality
inferior, inadequate.
Pulsing with pain that follows servitude.
Lacking love,
humbling oneself as a slave.
Falling on knees, before a master,
pants torn, hair disheveled.
Bruised eye, begging
pleading.
Hoping for love.
Kept back by fear
leaning forward in prayer.
Heart ripped, shredded,
pieces scattered carelessly.
Suffering in silence.
Scrapes on arms from grovelling,
as no one should do to another.
Tears shed in agony
laughter an absent commodity.

Very well put together. I hate it when good stuff gets left behind, saw this is quite old. Deserves more applause than this.

A very intense write! I was reminded of my early poems when I read this!

"Suffering in silence.
Scrapes on arms from grovelling,
as no one should do to another."
