The Masterpiece

A swirl of scarlet encrusts a splatter of turquoise
The vibrant painting is breath taking
A splatter of sunshine draws near to a sea of greens and blues
The green and flesh color are mixed;
They are the dead skin of a fallen female
Now, rust and ebobny complete this masterpiece
So that it becomes a lovely disasterpiece.

Author notes

This poem was inspird by an abstract painting found at the Dayton Art Institute.

    yes, no offense but.. this piece kind of sounds like you were looking at the painting and Not getting to much inspiration from it, or you just looked at it and wrote from the mind, not heart.

    Thanks for entering though.
