All Clay

We’re all clay in His hands,
made in His image;
we try to take His role,
fashion ourselves in our own way

Without knowing Who He is,
we imagine Him to be like us;
we moan & stir, make a fuss,
forget He’s our Creator

We are clay, He’s the Potter;
spinning us on His wheel to make us who we are
We are moldable, He’s the Author;
we need to remember, we can’t see very far!

Author notes

Genesis 1:27 So Elohim created man in His own image, in the image of Elohim created He him; male and female created He them.
Ro 9:21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?

    Very good, just a couple of points 'moldable' is a transitive verb, so you can use it as such. It could be idiomatic American speech, but I would put a preposition like 'to' in between 'need' & 'remember' on the last line. Your call (as you say Stateside)

      LOL!

      I'm thinking about changing mold able back to moldable as it was originally! AP doesn't seem to like it as one word 'cause it's highlighting it again as a misspell! I have to laugh about the [to] 'cause that's what I had originally also & took it out, 'cause I didn't think it was necessary & I liked the flow better without it! I'll think about it! Thanks!
