Man Is To Man As Spider Is To Spider

What should I expect? 
Anything more or less
than for people to
complain about things
they do not understand
yet claim to disdain.

Why whine about the
environment if you wont
move to change the state of it?

You should know that
ranting about the government
does not reveal a thing besides
a lack of common sense when you
support your own statements
with your own arguments.

You can't first say
that you're ashamed
and so you hate
the government
then say something like
it's heaven sent
as if it could be
our right or our
responsibility to go
set other countries free.

As if that is even
what it is we're doing.
Like we ever had the right
to go to another country
and sacrifice our own families
to military service
or oil money...
imperialistic mentality
has long since been
a villain of humanity..

And yet if someone cut you
200 times in your own room
I am supposed to presume
that you yourself wouldn't
want to pursue revenge...
you would turn the other cheek.
Are you really so meek?
I don't believe it, No...
not for a minute. 

And another thing...
I am willing to bet that
as you are sitting there
perplexed at the world
and all the ways we
as humans are vexed
pondering our impact
on the environment and
other such radical crap
you are sitting on a couch
in a house running more
power than should be allowed
eating food from a fridge
that you never knew before
it reached your mouth.
I bet you flush a john
every time you piss or crap
and water flows constantly
from your faucets and taps
and you never think about
how all the conveniences
society has thrown in you lap
has got your mind fucked up
and out of whack and that
you will never even try
to look for nor find
a way out of that and back
to the ways that may save us.

Basically, what I am
trying to say is that
people like you make
people like me ashamed
to be human every day.
