Well, finally the opportunity that
I have been waiting for
Someone must have known this
And opened up the door
My memory is not so good
It seems to be dwindling away
This happens as one gets older
They forget what they want to say
I would like to congratulate
All the greeters here on AP
They do their very best each day
With a smile we can not see
Sometimes it takes a while
For them to get back to us
They need to check a little further
But that's OK, I won't fuss
I just appreciate their willingness
To help in every little way
It makes our writing so much easier
Gives us a pleasant day
So thank you to everyone
For everything you do
Hugs and kisses are sent your way

There is no denying that our Greeters perform a valuable service here at Allpoetry. In most cases they are the first people that many new members have any contact with whatsoever and the impression they make is not only a lasting one, it is usually what marks the impression people develop of the site itself. They give so much of themselves and they do an awesome job. You spoke well of them here.

I can only speak for myself, but I do enjoy what I do. Welcomeing in the new members and offering them a bit of whatever they need to get around better, or helping the seasoned poets of AP who may not be able to find what they are after. It's rewarding when you know you've done good for someone else.
Thank you for the wonderful tribute to an awesone team of greeters. I enjoy the people on the team as much as I enjoy the work.
