Long, narrow corridors closing in all around,
A quick glance at the clock and then listening for the sound

RING!
Rushing out of classrooms,
Slamming all the doors,
Running for the freedom
That we've been waiting for
Books are lost amongst folders,
Knowledge is left behind,
Left in the smelly, old store cupboard
No homework's been assigned
Hurrah for summer's cooling breeze,
Excitement all around
The trouble it's one week into summer,
And i'm asking:
"Can I go back to school now?"
Author notes
This is how I normally feel in the holidays
it's actually working out okay this time!
Hope you like it!

LOL, I've felt just like that all those years (except for this year) for as long as I can remember...
But this year, well, if someone offered me another month of summer holidays, I wouldn't say no.
Thanks for sharing!
Keep on writing!

LOL. I do like this very much. It's usually how I feel when my son starts driving me crazy because he's bored. Thanks for posting in my contest.
