To tell something
Somebody has to listen.
I thought I found listener
Alas! It misfired.
My observation and opinion
They did not like.
But can that be a reason
I should tell a lie?
People sometimes do not know
The weakness they are suffering from.
A truth uttered proves its worth
If really it can hit the target.
Those who cannot take it sportingly
Hardly anybody can help them.

I like this one, my friend...You tell of how truth cuts deeply, but it is a wound we can heal from and learn from rather quickly, whereas a lie cuts over and over and can 'hardly ever' be healed...it is like a poison. You have written some very wise words today...Best of luck in this contest. Peace always, Rhonda
