Damn, ten pounds over,
I should have been ten closer
to being thin, what can I say,
I like to eat, food is play
for me to tantalize my buds,
Now I'm wearing bigger duds.
Yes, people tell me I am fat,
I think to them its a load of crap,
I'm less healthy because I smoke,
Not because weight-loss is a joke
to me, it never works,
To diets, I merely sit and smirk.
Yeah, I can work out, and play
outside, wasting all my days,
But rather, I'd sit inside and eat,
Because great tasting food can beat
all athleticism to a bloody pulp,
I'm swallowing sugar with a ravenous gulp.
Food, sweat, large waistbands, part of being fat,
If I fall, I'm sure I'll go splat,
280 pounds of undigested sugar falling to the ground,
Leaving behind a little caved-in mound
where I lay...the earth has shook,
But I tell you, fat is the end of my book.

This was an interesting point of view. The rhyme and meter was a little bit awkward here and there, but I'm glad you entered it into the contest. Thanks!

Hmmm lol.. well I'm hoping this is in jest! I don't think anyone should be judged by their weight.. but I also am a believer in healthy lifestyle so that we can live longer and healthier lives!
Cute poem tho! lol

Actually, I wrote this is self description...not jest...it's all true about me...I just don't look overweight by too much because I'm tall and big-boned.

No you don't look over weight! I weigh heavy also.. as I carry a lot of muscle. Hey, as long as you feel good in yourself and healthy, that's all that matters!
