she lays on her bed
the soft sounds of the coqui all around
with seashells gently rattling behind her
she can't help but think of him
he sits on his porch
smoking his cigarrette while the world goes by
there's nothing to do by listen to the crickets
yet he always ends up thinking of her
they're both so young
but innocent they are not
as time has given them both many challenges
they know they made it through
but through the strife
they made it through
they listen to no one but their hearts
as they remain together deep inside
he's forever hers faithfully
she knows they belong together
forgiveness never came so easy
as it does for them
and though they sleep miles apart
they soon meet in their dreams
hoping for them to come true soon
these two souls shall forever be
ageless dreamers
