I saw the Angel sing aloud.
Wake up sleeping world!
His power withdrew from a voice of fire
His guise glimmered in blinding light
He is the Bright Morning Star.
the Angel, how he sings
sweet melodies on twisted dreams
he fights the Serpent's epiphany;
this is what brings life to thee.
And so sobbed the Sun,
twisted endeavours that make blood run
endurance of hate not found
the Angel, how he comes.
the night owl screeches in pain
feigned in fear again
the Angel, how he sees
how he frees.
and now I die
left to drown in a cradle of discontent
filth consumes my mind,
dries my blood.
but the Angel extends his hand and lifts me
away from this sordid plane
and flies me to heaven
this Angel, how loving is he.
this Angel, how he sings!
