I remember a time of innocence
When all was at my beck and call
When I had no cares in the world
When all I did was play.
I remember the first stirrings of love
Or what I thought was love.
Pining away for my Maths teacher
Hoping for a pat on the head or just a touch.
I remember my father
How he used to put me on his knees
Asking me if all was well
Wiping my tears away.
I remember how the sun used to shine
So clear and so bright, yet so lovely
I remember the strains of music
Nice lovely music.
If I could Have it all again
I would take all back.
All I know is
It has been good and no regrets.
